We Have Some News On Sturgill Simpson’s 2nd Album…

With Sturgill Simpson’s debut album High Top Mountain only just having received its European release this week, neatly coinciding with his UK tour, we already have news on album number two.

Those who were at King’s Place in London last week, for Sturgill’s support slot with Laura Cantrell, will have learnt that he has “made a country album about string theory…” And who wouldn’t want to hear that. Lucky for all, fans of music and physics, Paste Magazine have just premiered a track – go here for an exclusive listen to brand new song ‘Living The Dream’. Paste reveal that Sturgill’s second album will bear the fabulous title, ‘Metamodern Sounds In Country Music’, which we assure you, will be adorned with equally fabulous artwork and is due for release on the 12th May.

Sturgill explains: “Myriad wordly offerings—religion, drugs, and more—all claim to be the omnipotent universal truth, but in my experience, love is the only certainty, that is what this record is about.”
