KASSI VALAZZA
14:30 - 15:15

Kassi Valazza's highly acclaimed album 'Kassi Valazza Knows Nothing' released on Loose in 2023 placed her right at the heart of the vanguard of new American songwriters strengthening and broadening the sound of country music today. Portland-based Valazza will be joined on stage this year by guitarist Lewi Longmire and Tobias Berblinger on keyboards.
"Superb new singer from Arizona who marries gracious warmth of west coast singers such as Linda Ronstadt and Grace Slick with the rusty mysteriousness of British folk legends like Sandy Denny and Shirley Collins" ★★★★ THE TIMES

BROWN HORSE
15:45 - 16:30
Brown Horse make twangy and thoughtful indie rock, delicately arranged, but unafraid of building a yowling wall of guitars, accordion, banjo and pedal steel. Distorted, teary-eyed and country-tinged, this is music for long lonely drives and late, late nights in strange places. Their debut album, Reservoir, was released in January 2024 to wide critical acclaim.
"an entirely unique yet instantly recognisable sound" MOJO
“stunning… guitars glinting like light on water” Uncut Magazine
“extraordinary emotional heft” The Sunday Times

PEARL CHARLES
17:00 - 17:45
Hailing from Los Angeles, Pearl Charles will be bringing her unique blend of cosmic country and pop to the Loose stage. Performing as a duo with guitarist Michael Rault, Pearl will be playing tracks from her 2021 album 'Magic Mirror,' as well as unheard tracks from her forthcoming release.
"Seasoned Los Angeles songwriter Pearl Charles seems to be sliding through the '60s and '70s at warp speed.” UNCUT

ANDREW COMBS
18:30 - 19:15
Straight off the back of the release of Nashville-based Andrew Combs's beautiful new album 'Dream Pictures' Loose are thrilled to have him back at this year's Long Road Festival. Andrew will be playing a mix of tracks from the new album and favourites from his acclaimed catalogue. It’s sure to be brilliant - as Mojo commented in their 4 star review of the new album “it seems Combs simply can’t write a duff song”.
“Combs is heir to artists like Mickey Newbury or Harry Nilsson, who at heart love country’s honesty and grit but twist it into any shape they please” MOJO
“a masterclass in songwriting economy…a golden country-soul sound” UNCUT

KATIE PRUITT
19:45 - 20:30
Grammy nominated Nashville act Katie Pruitt's music deals with human topics such as religion, mental health, and contemporary love songs with a modern twist. Her new album Mantras - released earlier this year - is a deeply personal record and a wonderfully introspective account of life since her last release. We are delighted that this year Katie will be performing with her band.
“Katie Pruitt possesses the storytelling finesse of Jason Isabell and also has the roots rock star energy of Sheryl Crow” Paste
