Simone Felice

Ernesto & SimoneLoose were devastated to learn that Ernesto De Pascale passed away in his hometown of Florence, Italy this weekend, aged 52. Ernesto was a great man. A real true music lover, he ran his own PR company – Il Popolo del Blues – who were responsible for some incredible Italian press for our bands The Felice Brothers, The Duke & The King, Danny and The Champs and The RG Morrison.

Here’s a photo of Ernesto presenting Simone Felice with the award for Best Foreign Songwriter at last year’s Premio Ciampi.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends.

Long Live The Duke & The KingA little reminder that Long Live The Duke & The King will be released on Monday 27th September. Just think, this time next week you could have the the new Duke & The King album playing out of either your stereo, record player or mp3 gadget of choice. Or all three if you so wish. Either way, we strongly recommend that you are playing it.

Head on over this way to the Duke & The King website HERE to take a look at part 1 of a short film, following the making of the new record.

And either one of these ways to pre-order yourself a copy of Long Live The Duke & The King;

Recorded at home (in the barn) just a few weeks after his heart surgery, this retrospective collection includes songs from the earliest Felice Brother days, Duke & King favorites, and the traditional Celtic waltz ‘Wild Mountain Thyme’ arranged by Simone. Naked as the day you were born, these stark recordings cut to the bone, revealing the essential brilliance of the songwriting, the poetry, like a ghost in the attic, like a wind at the door.
